Yes,

If your laptop has wireless you really wanna shop to see who can
support it.  I have an intel based wireless card.  Opensuse and fedora
core both did not support it!  As for video unless its brand new out
of the box or reallly old.. is when i find lack of support for video.

I am a software tester so alot of my boxen are usually dualbooted with
something. You will be fine :)
