Or, you could take your lead from the ladies on "Attack of the Show". Sorry, couldn't resist... flame away.

I agree with you Rob. Another example would be the video podcast by a woman for about 5 to 6 minutes Caly Lewis or something has become so popular that Apple and other hardware vendors sends her free stuff to test and share her thoughts on her video podcast. Last time I saw her podcast (about a year ago), she had some kind of discount on "godaddy.com" when we registered a domain.

Having a woman present will catch a nerd's/geek's eye, but to keep the nerd/geek/viewer glued to the TV / web TV for 20 minutes would need a nerdy/geeky-tech savvy-gadget loving-fairly good looking.

Of course presentation, format, products and content plays a very important role.

Some how I could not stand Morgan, she seemed more like a air-head to me. I rather enjoyed Sumi Das's reports as she made her reports more personal than reading stuff out from a paper.

As the old TechTV showed us (before they destroyed it), the girl does
not necessarily have to be hot, only nerd-hot, you know - "she's a nerd
and smart, and therefore, more hot than she would be if she was being
judged based on looks alone" (I'm thinking of Morgan Webb, who used to
be the geeky frumpy girl. I will grant that she has improved her look
quite a bit with an extreme makeover in style.). Similar to what a
current or former military type might describe as "Army hot." A friend
overheard a Marine officer on a flight back to the US from Iraq speaking
to a female, asking, "How does it feel to be ugly again?"

Googling around trying to remember Morgan's name brought me to a
relevant, and point-reinforcing web site featuring some guy pining over
the nerd girls of TechTV.
