 ENSCO is looking for a Linux System Administrator for 
the Meteorlogical Development Lab (MDL)  at the National Weather Service (NWS)
             
Performs systems administrative duties for the NWS/MDL software maintenance
test systems.  Works in partnership with the current lead system
administrators at the Science and Engineering Center (SEC) for the NHD2, NHD# and NHDW software maintenancedevelopment and test  systems.  
Duties will include:
system administration of the NWS/MDL NHDW and NHDX software maintenance test
systems.  Duties will include:  administration of a Unix development
laboratory's  RedHat Linux Enterprise 4 u2 operating systems;
administration of multiple NIS/NFS environments; configuration and
installation of various development software builds and services across four
NIS domains; provide user support including developer support for issues as
diverse as POSIX compliant interfaces, shell scripting (csh, ksh, bash),
portability, and build environment maintenance.
 
BS in Computer Science or equivalent and at least 3 years experience in
administration of Linux systems and administration of large number
of systems.  Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
Ability to work with all levels of personnel.  Must have excellent verbal
communications skills.  Must possess excellent time management skills.
Strong team player
 
Familiarity with the AWIPS suite of applications.  Experience in
administration of the NWS/MDL NHDW and NHDX software maintenance test
systems.
