[CALUG] ubuntu Hardy and nvidia quadro FX 570 graphics card

My problem was resolved.  Using envyng works but one had to edit the
file
/etc/X11/xorg.conf

and in the extensions section change Enable to Disable:

Section "Extensions"
	Option		"Composite"	"Disable"
EndSection

I have no idea what the above did.  Does anyone know?
