The Baltimore ACM Chapter would like to announce
the following lecture:

Title:
Helping Solve Challenges in Computing Through Advancements in
Processor Technologies

Speaker:
Russ Fromkin
Director, Intel Federal

When: Monday, May 17, 7:15 - 8:15 pm

Where: Murphy Fine Arts Center, Morgan State University

Abstract:

In this session, we will discuss some of the biggest challenges facing
the progress of computing today, advancements in processor
technologies to address these challenges and new trends in computing
made possible by these advancements.

Some of the key topics I will address:

* The continuation of Moore's Law

* Hardware-assisted technologies for performance
  and information assurance

* The impact of these technologies on:
      - Cloud Computing
      - Trusted Computing
      - High Performance Computing


Admission is free and open to the public.

The talk will be preceded by refreshments and a light dinner
(sandwiches) at 6:30 pm.

State University in Northeast Baltimore on Argonne Dr. between

Parking is free in the Y lot.

Access the Y lot from Argonne Drive: Turn onto McCallum Drive.  Travel
straight through 1st STOP sign, to reach the rear of the Murphy Fine
Arts Center.  Bear to right at 2nd STOP sign.  See parking lot
entrance on left.
