Hello All,

The company I work for is looking to hire several new brains to join our
team of engineers.  There's a lot of Linux and other open source
technologies involved in the work, so I thought this list would be a
good place to look.  It's a little bit far from Columbia, but figured it
might work for those willing to move around a little.  If your

Here are the general descriptions:

A fast growing Reston Virginia based company is seeking high energy
junior and senior Linux and network engineers to join our team of
talented professionals. Think you have what it takes to join our team?
Read on....

1. Position:  Network Engineers (Junior and Senior positions available)

Junior position should have 1 - 3 years of experience.

Senior position should have 3 - 5 years of experience.

Network engineer with experience working in LAN / WAN environments
implementing and supporting complex network environments. The ideal
candidate will have a good overall knowledge of various commercial and
open source routing, switching, firewall, intrusion detection/prevention
and VOIP platforms. Additional experience includes intermediate to
expert knowledge of Linux administration and ongoing maintenance, DNS,
DHCP, VPN, IPSEC, TCP/IP, OSI layers 1 through 7, SSL, MySQL,
PostgreSQL, LDAP, Kerberos. Additional experience with Spanning Tree,
PERL / Bash programming, iSCSI, Cisco & Juniper routing and firewall
platforms are all pluses.

You don't need to know all of it, but you DO need to know a lot of it,
and willing to learn any of it.


2. Position: Senior Linux Engineers

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of direct, hands on experience,
engineering, implementing and managing Linux based servers and
associated LAMP based applications, DNS, SSL, LDAP, managed (L2/L3)
switches, firewalls (both Linux and COTS based) and IDS sensors in an
Internet facing environment. Additional experience required includes a
solid knowledge of LAN/WAN routing and switching concepts and in depth
experience with the design and implementation of layered security as it
pertains to Internet connected devices.

The bottom line is you absolutely must have real world experience
working in and around a production environment with equipment that is
connected to the Internet.

Skills: TCP/IP, SSL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, LDAP, Perl / BASH, DNS, DHCP,
VPN, IPSEC, Asterisk, VOIP, SIP, IAX, OSI layers 1 through 7, Spanning
Tree, VLANS, VLAN trunking, VTP, GVRP, RADIUS, TACACS.
