Hi Everyone!

The August 8th CALUG meeting will be at a new location! The meeting will
run from 6:30-9pm like normal.

Proteus Technologies has agreed to host our August meeting at their
Annapolis Junction location. Located about 15 minutes from the offices
of Tenable Network Security, their address is:

133 National Business Parkway
Annapolis Junction, MD 20701

Everyone should enter the parking lot and go around the building and
park in back. After parking, there's a walking ramp across to the
building where someone will greet you and let you in.

Praxis Engineering will continue to provide the pizza and soda from
6:30-7.

Matt Wood, a Senior Security Engineer and Developer for NetCentrics
Corporation and CALUG member, will be giving a talk on Encrypted file
systems.

More and more, encrypting ones hard drive is becoming commonplace.
This discussion will provide a brief introduction into building a basic
Linux system, incorporating encrypted disks.  It will go over
configuration of the disk, encryption key, and show you how to move
this key onto a USB stick for ease of logon.  The briefing will use
ArchLinux as a installation source and LUKS as the disk encryption
software.
