I am pleased to announce that the Ubuntu Maryland LoCo Team has a room for Software Freedom Day 2008. Taking place on September 20th at the Howard County Library Miller Branch,
we will be running presentations on free, open-source software
throughout the day to encourage the public to take advantage of the
wide array of available FOSS software.

We are actively looking for presenters for a number of topics. We
aim for cross-platform programs that we know people can take advantage
of in their daily lives. You can find a list of programs we would love
to cover here, but please, do not feel constrained to this list.

If you are interested in giving a presentation on a piece of
software, please feel free to contact the team at sfd08@ubuntu-maryland.org for more
details. If you would like to sign up for a time slot, please email the name of the software you will be covering as well as an approximate
time frame you want.
