This is a friendly reminder that the regularly scheduled Columbia Area Linux User Group meeting will be held this Wednesday November 12.<br><br>Our guest will be <font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Amy Begg De Groff</font>, Director of Information Technology at the Howard County Library.<br>
<br>For those that are unaware the Howard County Library system
consistently ranks highly on national lists of public libraries. While
maintaining these high standards they are strong proponents of Open
Source. These high marks are achieved using Ubuntu on all of the nearly
300 customer facing PCs. A
majority of the staff machines are running Ubuntu and the backend
inventory systems are about to be switched over to use an Open Source
solution.<br>

haven't for a while and notice the new software images that are on the PCs with the
