[CALUG] cygwin as an X client on a Windows PC to Linux server

OpenGL over X (GLX) can have its own requirements of the
X-Server (client). Cygwin/X should be capable, but it all depends
on the application.
Sometimes, when you consider the cost of software solutions, it's
cheaper to just put a 2nd desktop running Linux on the user's desk
instead. Use x2 or something to minimize input devices. Seriously. ;)

I would like to know if anyone has experience using cygwin for a
Microsoft Windows client
PC to log into and run an Open GL X/Motif program running on a linux
server?
Or are there other products out there that would also work for that
purpose besides
OpenText Exceed?
