[CALUG] Announcement of Tux.org Board of Directors Election

Hello,
Tux.org, the umbrella organization for LUGs in the DC area, announces a call
for candidates for two seats on the Board of Directors. Any member of any
of the LUGs receiving this message (DCLUG, NOVALUG, CALUG, UMLinux) is
eligible to be a director. Directors participate in board meetings, vote on
issues raised in the meetings, and serve two-year terms.
The procedures for the election are as follows: people interested in running
submit biographies/brief statements (information on doing so below) at any
point between now and March 15th, 2009. All submitted candidate statements
will be published on the Tux.org website on March 16, 2009.
Then, voting will be open in-person at LUG meetings and via USPS mail from
April 1, 2009 until April 30, 2009. (Paper ballots must be postmarked on or
before the 30th to be counted.)
Results will be posted on the Tux.org website no later than May 15, 2009.
Each person may vote for up to two candidates.
