The company I work for has positions available for someone with Linux
experience. I know many talented Linux people lurk within LUGs. The
position is listed below, thanks for looking!
Research engineer positions available at Intelligent Automation Inc. (IAI)
in Rockville, MD. A green card or US citizenship is REQUIRED and Linux
experience is needed. Broadly speaking, the work involves participating in
the design and implementation of Linux-based prototypes as part of a wide
range of research in networks and security. Projects include new network
protocols, network management, security techniques, etc. You will work on a
variety of interesting research projects with real-world applications, and
you will use Linux.
Qualifications include:
- Green card or US citizen REQUIRED
- MS or higher in networks or security, or equivalent experience. Recent
BA/BS with strong background and leadership considered.
- Experience with Linux in terms of system administration, networking,
development, etc.
One or more of the following are a plus:
- Ability to develop prototypes in C/C++ and other languages
- Ability to setup and configure a network of Linux devices (routing,
firewalls, servers, etc.)
- Knowledge of embedded systems, specifically OpenWRT-based routers/access
points
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, IPv6, DNS, BGP, OLSR, etc.)
- Knowledge of network security techniques and attacks
- Experience with signal processing or FPGA development
I am probably biased, but IAI is also a great place to work and treats their
employees very well.
