Fedora 12 is no longer being actively maintained so you really need to
be using Fedora 14 or 15. If you're going to use Fedora, you have to
keep upgrading as a released version receives security & other updates
for 13 months only.

If upgrading every few months is too much for you then you should
reconsider which distro you use.
