INNOVIM is seeking qualified candidates who are skilled in Ubuntu Linux for
a Sys Admin role.    The position given the responsibilities also requires
:



The Systems Administrator must demonstrate a strong understanding of
Macintosh, Linux, Storage, and Networking devices. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position, as this
position will support customers directly. The System Administrator must be
able to follow “standard operating procedures”, and have the ability to
create, and maintain existing process and procedures.  The System
Administrators primary responsibilities are listed below:



*Primary Responsibilities*

Description:

·        Provide Mac OS X Server and Linux (preferably Ubuntu) Server
support.

·        Storage Area Network (preferably X-SAN), RAID, and JBOD storage
system experience

·        General Networking support.

·        Software and Hardware installation

·        System backup and recovery.

·        Identify problems and provide recommended solutions.

Required Skills :

·        Strong knowledge of  Operating Systems, especially Mac OS X
server, and Linux

·        Ability to troubleshoot software, hardware issues

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Attention to detail

·        Strong problem solving, diagnosis and troubleshooting skills

·        Strong customer service skills including follow-up, verbal and
written communication

·        Highly motivated and team-oriented individual with a positive
attitude

·        Ability to communicate technical issues in non-technical terms

·        Ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks in a dynamic work
environment

·        Must have a BS degree with a technical concentration

·        Must have 2 years or more working in an IT environment supporting
customers



Job Location:  Greenbelt, MD.

Candidate must be able to pass a NACI Screening and therefore must be
either a Perm Resident status or US Citizen.
