Greetings all,

For the July 8th meeting, our own Gareth Digby has stepped up again to give
us a presentation entitled "Creating an Internet of Things Appliance
for Teaching Forensic Analysis - NSLU2, Debian Linux, edna & cpuminer”

Abstract: Gareth Digby will talk about using a Linksys NSLU2 with a Debian
Linux distribution to create an "Internet of Things” (IoT) appliance. The
presentation will cover the background to Gareth creating the IoT appliance
for use in his teaching and a description of installing Debian Linux, edna
and cpuminer. The presentation will discuss how the appliance was used to
create the material used in teaching. The presentation will conclude with
a demonstration of the NLSU2 running the various software applications.

The meeting will take place at OmniTI, located in Fulton, MD. The
address is 11830 West Market Place Fulton, MD 20759. The building is
near the Harris Teeter, easily seen from the road. When you approach the
HT head on, the OmniTI office is to its right.

We'll be using the back entrance which is surrounded by plants which
will lead directly to the meeting room.

Be sure to show up from 6:30 until 7 for pizza provided by Tenable Network
Security and socializing. The meeting will start about 7pm.
