Subject: [Novalug] July 13 meeting-- XenServer<br>To: Novalug <<a href="mailto:novalug@calypso.tux.org">novalug@calypso.tux.org</a>><br><br><br><div dir="ltr">XenServer open sourced by Citrix-- Why should you care?<br>
<br>XenServer is OpenSource! Well, yeah, of course it is. Ah, but wait...
on June 25th, Citrix released XenServer in its full Enterprise form
with all of its features completely free and Open Source. VM Motion,
Storage Motion, DR replication, StorageLink, Workload Balancing, High
Availability, etc, etc, all for free. Couple this with the recent
migration of CloudStack to the Apache Foundation, and the core Xen
hypervisor to the Linux Foundation, and you have a very powerful base
for hypervisors as a commodity. Should you care? Yes you should! Find
out why and see some cool features demo'd. <br clear="all"><span class=""><font color="#888888"><div><br>-- <br><div dir="ltr">greg pryzby greg at pryzby dot org<br><a href="http://www.linkedin.com/in/gpryzby" target="_blank">http://www.linkedin.com/in/gpryzby</a><br>
