than in the previous 1-2 years. I was tempted to
volunteer, but previous years descriptions at CMAP
meetings indicated only people with certain levels
of coding or testing skills were wanted. And one year,
there was an extra prep meeting.

The description you provided sounds radically different
and very tempting.

I would like to ask the following Q's:

Is it necessary to be there 24 hours per/ the weekend ?
How is the level of intensity handled.

I assume there's some give and take among those with less
experience, as indicated.. some tutoring or mentoring ?
Or are volunteers expected to make the most of their
specific expertise ?

Can you describe a typical previous product creation/fix scenario?
I'm sure some potential volunteers would be in an unfamiliar
work or product environment. I think a description would
help attract people.

And to others, while CMAP meetings are Microsoft only
products, there is good technology there, and meetings
are extremely informative and professional. I highly encourage
anyone involved in Linux work to try them out. NOTE: there
are numerous subgroups of CMAP, and several of the more
super technical are truly give and take. As well as attending,
you are expected to participate by leading a session.

Try a CMAP "Main" meeting sometime. Everyone welcome.
