Just upgraded a system to Ubuntu Studio 13.10 but I think the video
driver crapped out on me. I get my desktop graphic but no desktop.
Can someone tell me how to roll back the video driver from the command
line? I can get to that upon boot..
Thanks.
Charlie.

Hi Charlie,
What brand video card is it?
Ai
PS: For proprietary stuff there is a non free option thingy available in
Ubuntu, that may be the solution, I am aware, just not that familiar.
If its Nvidia, they do a pretty good job of providing binaries on their
website, so does ATI (AMD that is).

When I perform an upgrade I usually move my old home to a new name and
create a dummy directory. So when u start up KDE or gnome creates all new
directories.
Try that first and then proceed to this website.

Hope this helps.
