Please join us on Sat, January 25 at 1 pm at Community College of
Baltimore County (CCBC) Catonsville Campus, Building HTEC, Computer Lab
Room H-220 B. Use parking lot 5.
We will be discussing the Ubuntu App Development School and WebRTC. The
Ubuntu APP school is designed to teach persons how to develop apps for
Ubuntu Touch and all training materials are provided by Canonical. It is
planned that Ubuntu Touch will be included in the next long term release
of Ubuntu, 14.04. The training emulator can be ran on Ubuntu 13.10.
WebRTC is a remote meeting application that runs in a browser and does
not require the installation of additional software. It is opensource
and as such is preferred by some over Google+. I am working with the
Ubuntu-Ohio Loco testing it. I will share the results of our most recent
test which is scheduled for Friday of this week.
Lastly, if time permits we will look at some of the other distros that
are running on Ubuntu, namely Bodhi and Zorin.
Thanks
