[CALUG] usb hard disk with ntfs

oh, crap...

Just thought of another monkey wrench...

What about file permissions from one filesystem
to another ?   I generally want to use USB hard disk
just for backup of my user files...   /home/user

But that might include the dot files ?

Q: the other way:  is there a Windows driver ext4/xfs 
or whatever  compatible filesystem I can use to save any file
permissions from both types ?
